Slade Group consultants in the Property, Construction and Facilities division at Slade Group are specialists in their sector, and are actively involved in Recruitment, Human Resources and Career Development, for candidates who work in this industry. Assignments in this sector are varied and include property development, project management, building construction, valuation, asset management.

We recruit for roles across all levels up to executive appointments and adopt an individual approach to each vacancy. The Property, Construction & Facilities Management team continues to develop and build strong relationships through involvement in industry-wide networks, and with university programs and graduates. This process enables the team to have a greater understanding of the industry and its short, mid and long term directions.

Women in Construction are Making their Mark!

An increasing number of women are now turning to a career in the construction industry.   Currently, 44% of women nationally make up the overall workforce across all industries, with the figure being lower at 13% within the building and construction industry (Ref Incolink – Long Service Leave/Redundancy Authority, 2006). But this is changing as women become more readily accepted into construction and project management roles.

Hooker Cockram, a leading national builder, has shown the way in the area of employing women for their construction business.  Hooker Cockram currently employs eight women,.seven of whom have degrees in Construction Management and one in Chemical Engineering.   The positions they currently hold within the organisation include 2 Project Manager roles, 2 Site Managers, 2 Building Coordinators, a Business Development Manager and a General Administrator.
