SELECTION CRITERIA

Applicants must address the selection criteria.

1. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant scientific and/or engineering discipline.
2. A good understanding of the key drivers for industry, government and society relevant to a value-chain industry like titanium.
3. Leadership in a significant and relevant field of research and its transfer to industry, including a proven record of launching novel ideas in innovative ways into complex environments.
4. Exceptional people management skills (including interpersonal, communication and influencing abilities) with the ability to motivate staff to perform to their full potential.
5. Strong leadership skills with a track record of constructive participation in leadership and management forums. Commitment to assisting other leaders to achieve their goals and capacity to operate as part of a senior management team.
6. Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills with industry, government and research providers, underpinned by strong and relevant networks.
7. Demonstrated ability to develop and meet revenue and expenditure budgets.
