Learning Designer - Education

ABOUT COOL AUSTRALIA
Cool Australia is a not for profit education organisation whose aim is to upskill educators to become designers of exceptional learning for all young Australians.
They do this by providing a comprehensive online portfolio of learning activities and resources for teachers to access in order to inspire and deeply engage students in their education.
 
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an education specialist ready to take that next step in your career by genuinely fuelling your passion for resource development in Cool Australia's Curriculum Team.
Under the direction of the Education Content Manager you will be expected to: Project manage the development of resources (lesson plans, units of work and Professional Development courses) for partners to ensure all objectives are met.
This includes: Creating design briefs and project proposals Curriculum writing and development Uploading, proofing and editing content Evaluation and feedback on curriculum Use of a variety of computer and web-based applications including content management systems (word press), the Microsoft office suite Developing and maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders Attending regular team meetings as scheduled and actively encourage and promote effective communication and strong working relationships within the organisation SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
You must have tertiary qualifications in education, with a thorough working knowledge of Australian education including the curriculum frameworks and pedagogical approaches (minimum two years’ experience). 
You will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to work independently but also as part of a dynamic and collaborative team. With a proven record of developing high quality, innovative education materials for primary and/or secondary teachers, experience in project management would be highly desirable.
