With recruitment experience spanning in excess of two decades, Barry has extensive and deep expertise in Accounting search and selection, particularly in the specialist areas of performance analytics, finance business partnering, commercial finance and financial control. Commencing his career in South Africa where he worked for one of the country’s preeminent listed recruitment firms, Barry relocated to Melbourne with his family in 2008. Since immigrating, he has furthered his career with both large global, and privately held boutique search and selection firms where he has developed strong working relationships and networks. Well known for investing time to understand the requirements of each unique assignment and for exploring the individual career aspirations of talent, Barry’s authentic engagement style is based on respect, trust, integrity and honesty. Barry is committed to delivering an insightful, thorough and detailed level of service, and to achieving quality outcomes for all clients and candidates he partners with.

Approaching 20 years of experience in the industry, Jill has worked as a Temporary & Contract consultant for 14 years, with a further 5 years in the Permanent recruitment space. Her knowledge and expertise across a variety of roles and sectors includes: Management and Operations, Government (Federal, State, and Local), Administration, Project Management, Technical, IT and Call Centre. Leading the Business Support team at Slade Group, Jill specialises in professional roles from mid-tier to management and executives. Recent placements have included CFO, COO and other C suite roles, General Managers, Operations, Supply Chain Managers, Purchasing Coordinators, Project Managers and EAs. Jill’s ability to build rapport with stakeholders at all levels has enabled her to develop strong relationships with client organisations, allowing her to bridge the gap between employers and candidates. She ensures clear communication throughout the hiring process for all parties, follows-up at each milestone and follows through to meet the assignment timelines. She is particularly adept at difficult to fill positions and aligning cultural fit.

Dee has extensive experience in Recruitment, Human Resources, and Management across a range of sectors and functions. With over 12 years in the industry including 8 years collectively with Slade Group, she has a unique combination of strategic focus and operational expertise. Dee’s comprehensive understanding of all key components of the recruitment process enables her to identify and develop innovative and effective solutions for the most challenging recruitment assignments. Throughout her career Dee has developed strong business relationships which have enabled her to gain a sound understanding of an organisation’s resourcing needs, while her combined recruitment and commercial experience help her to identify exceptional candidates. Dee’s qualifications include a Graduate Diploma in Labour Relations Law and a BA in Psychology & Business Management.

Susannah has over 18 years of experience in the industry and is approaching ten years overall within Slade Group. She has worked as a recruiter both in-agency within our divisions and in-house on the client side. Having worked with final5, nexthire and Slade Executive over the years, the majority of assignments and project work Susannah has undertaken have been in the permanent space. She has broad knowledge across our sector specialisations including Business Support, Law, Government and Education, as well as sound understanding of a range of roles at various levels. Susannah currently focuses on professional placements, from mid-tier to management. She enjoys working closely with stakeholders and building up that all important rapport to match them with the right candidate for their organisation.

As a Senior Consultant specialising in Education, Andrew has invaluable knowledge and experience in the sector. He has taught and held Principal positions at schools in Victoria, the UK and Tasmania. Andrew was Regional Director of the Round Square Association, National Chair of AHISA and Director of the Principals Australia Institute. He completed a Bachelor of Economics and Master of Education Studies at Monash University and a Diploma of Education at the University of Sydney. Andrew remains very engaged in the NGO sector, including a focus on improving educational outcomes for indigenous children.

Andrew understands that high quality educational leaders and staff are crucial for schools, higher educational and other learning institutions and businesses as they aspire towards achieving their vision. His knowledge of the needs of independent schools and universities in terms of quality education leaders is considerable. Representing the sector, he has worked closely with Government on initiatives in education and spoken at conferences in Australia and overseas.

Jackson is an experienced teacher, having taught within the Catholic education system. He has worked in several schools, both as a classroom teacher, organiser of Casual and relief teachers and as a sports coach. Jackson has strong experience creating engaging and informed curriculums using evidence and research-based pedagogies.  He understands how to properly and effectively communicate between departments to create a holistic education experience for staff, students and parents and knows the importance of creating a collaborative learning culture within a school. Jackson knows and understands the importance of finding exceptional staff for schools, and he enjoys greatly the opportunity to build the capacity of teachers in applying for roles within schools. His qualifications are Master of Teaching (Secondary) and Bachelor of Health Science (Public Health).

Geoff Slade has worked at the forefront of the recruitment industry for over 50 years. He is the Executive Chairman of Slade Group and was awarded a Centenary Medal by the Australian Government in 2000 for services to the recruitment industry.

A Chartered Management Consultant, Geoff is a past President of the Recruitment & Consulting Services Association (RCSA) and was founding Chairman of the industry’s education body. As a tribute to his emphasis on staff training, many of the leading consultants in Australia have worked for and been trained by Geoff at various times in the last three decades. He is also a regular speaker at major industry conferences.

Geoff is a former Chairman and member of Young President’s Organisation (YPO), current Regional Chairman (Australia – New Zealand) and Board Member of the World President’s Organisation (WPO) and a Harvard Alumnus. He was a Non Executive Director of Alzheimer’s Victoria and has held NED appointments on the Melbourne Football Club Board and the Sydney Swans Football Club Board. Geoff is also Chairman of Yellow Folder Research.
