With 25 years of experience in Recruitment and HR for numerous commercial, not-for-profit and government organisations, Samantha has managed consulting teams across Executive, Accounting & Finance, Information Technology, Supply Chain, Sales & Marketing, Human Resources, Administration, Oil & Gas, Mining, and Temporary recruitment. She combines real hands on end-to-end operational experience with the ability to distil complex business problems into workable solutions. Samantha’s expertise in the development and delivery of formal methodologies as well as less-defined, innovative approaches to achieving business objectives has helped numerous organisations with the HR challenges they face. Samantha has a passion for building strong partnerships, whilst guiding leaders in identifying their unique organisational needs. Her qualifications include a Bachelor of Business in International Trade, Majoring in Economics.

With recruitment experience spanning in excess of two decades, Barry has extensive and deep expertise in Accounting search and selection, particularly in the specialist areas of performance analytics, finance business partnering, commercial finance and financial control. Commencing his career in South Africa where he worked for one of the country’s preeminent listed recruitment firms, Barry relocated to Melbourne with his family in 2008. Since immigrating, he has furthered his career with both large global, and privately held boutique search and selection firms where he has developed strong working relationships and networks. Well known for investing time to understand the requirements of each unique assignment and for exploring the individual career aspirations of talent, Barry’s authentic engagement style is based on respect, trust, integrity and honesty. Trish holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School and a Law Degree from Cambridge. She brings an academic and research-based approach to recruitment and human resource consulting. She combines this with an empathetic and thoughtful approach that builds strong client relationships and provides the highest standards of candidate care. Trish’s professional network means she manages Slade’s professional services assignments, and she has a particular affinity with Higher Education as she is actively involved in a number of university alumni societies in Melbourne and internationally.

Jill Van Der Ross
Approaching 20 years of experience in the industry, Jill has worked as a Temporary & Contract consultant for 14 years, with a further 5 years in the Permanent recruitment space. Her knowledge and expertise across a variety of roles and sectors includes: Management and Operations, Government (Federal, State, and Local), Administration, Project Management, Technical, IT and Call Centre. Leading the Business Support team at Slade Group, Jill specialises in professional roles from mid-tier to management and executives. With over 18 years experience in executive search, Bill specialises in recruiting senior executives, including CEOs, Project Directors and General Managers in the engineering, advanced manufacturing and infrastructure sectors, which is where his passion lies. He is an active member of Engineers Australia, committed to promoting the engineering profession and gender diversity within engineering. Bill is a Fellow of Engineers Australia with Chartered and EngExec status and a Graduate of the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT University) in Civil Engineering and Management. He has a very broad commercial background with extensive management, business development and project management experience. Over the years Bill has worked in Australia, Europe, North America and Asia, with particular emphasis in engineering, transport, construction, aerospace, agribusiness and FMCG.

Luke Clarke is a Civil Engineer with recruitment experience in Australia and the UK. With several years of experience recruiting technical and engineering positions in challenging markets, Luke has developed excellent resourcing abilities. This has enabled him to deliver hard to find passive candidates. As a consultant in Slade Group’s Technical & Operations practice, Luke’s focus is on the civil sector where he has recruited key roles such as such as project managers, project engineers, site managers, construction managers, contract administrators, planners and quantity surveyors plus rail specific roles such as overheads, project managers/project engineers, signalling, track and civil and rolling stock. Having completed a Masters in Civil Engineering, Luke is knowledgeable and has a keen interest in all things civil related. Luke has a strong appreciation of both candidates’ desires and organisations’ needs, including understanding complex technical skillsets.

Geoff Slade has worked at the forefront of the recruitment industry for over 50 years. He is the Executive Chairman of Slade Group and was awarded a Centenary Medal by the Australian Government in 2000 for services to the recruitment industry.
A Chartered Management Consultant, Geoff is a past President of the Recruitment & Consulting Services Association (RCSA) and was founding Chairman of the industry’s education body. As a tribute to his emphasis on staff training, many of the leading consultants in Australia have worked for and been trained by Geoff at various times in the last three decades. He is also a regular speaker at major industry conferences.
Geoff is a former Chairman and member of Young President’s Organisation (YPO), current Regional Chairman (Australia – New Zealand) and Board Member of the World President’s Organisation (WPO) and a Harvard Alumnus. He is a Non Executive Director of Alzheimer’s Victoria and has held NED appointments on the Melbourne Football Club Board and the Sydney Swans Football Club Board. Geoff is also Chairman of Yellow Folder Research.
